EY Law is excited to announce that Barbara François (Executive Director) and Marie-Emilie Truyens (Senior Attorney) have recently joined EY Law. Together they will set up a new Employment law department based in Ghent.

Barbara has 15 years of experience as an attorney specialized in individual and collective employment law, and as a HR Manager of a listed company responsible for Belgium and Luxembourg. Marie-Emilie has 5 years of experience in employment and social security law.

Both have built up extensive experience in numerous legal areas, including hiring and (individuals and collective) dismissal, remuneration, working time, transfer of undertakings, employment and social security audits, social inspections, the functioning of representative bodies, etc. They represent clients before labour courts as well. Barbara & Marie-Emilie have worked for an international client base active in diverse industries, including pharmaceuticals, IT, retail, automotive, food industry, etc.

Barbara & Marie-Emilie state that they are thrilled to start the next chapter of their careers at EY Law. They are both looking forward to connecting with the EY Law clients and to share their experience and knowledge.
