EY Law promotes Tom Swinnen to Associate Partner and Lindsey Clare to Director

EY Law Belgium is pleased to announce the promotion of Tom Swinnen to Associate Partner and Lindsey Clare to Director. The promotions are effective as per 1 October 2020.


Tom Swinnen has over 13 years of professional experience and joined EY Law in 2017. In his role of M&A/Transaction Law Country Leader, he heads the fast-growing M&A/Transaction law practice of EY Law Belgium. He and his team act as trusted legal advisor for many Belgian entrepreneurs, family offices, private equity players, as well as international private equity houses and the worlds’ largest corporations. His practice focusses on (both domestic and cross-border) private M&A, including real estate transactions, distressed M&A, joint-ventures and (re)financing rounds. Tom is recommended by all leading legal directories.


Lindsey Clare has been working for EY Law for over 11 years. She has advised a large number of leading (inter)national (listed) companies in company and commercial law matters, such as cross-border restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate secretarial services. Lindsey and her team also counsel companies on day-to-day general corporate and legal matters. As a member of the EYNovation team, she also supports start-ups and scale-ups with their search for further funding, managing (partial) exits and expanding their business internationally. Furthermore, Lindsey also leads the Legal Managed Services business, with a focus on innovation and technology.
