Ambitious to overcome new challenges, Sakine joined EY Law in January 2020. Together with the other attorneys-at-law at EY Law, she endeavors to turn every project into a success.
Sakine’s field of legal expertise includes:
- General corporate law;
- Non-profit law;
- Contract drafting;
- National and cross-border restructurings and reorganisations.
Sakine provides on a daily basis legal assistance to numerous renowned Belgian, European and international non-profit associations, and foundations on general non-profit questions and drafting of contracts. She also advises lobbying and trade associations, and charities. Sakine has notably developed an extensive experience in providing assistance with the incorporation of legal entities under Belgian and European non-profit law, designing tailor-made governance structures and managing cross-border reorganisation projects for large and complex associations or groups of associations.
Sakine also assists local and international clients with general corporate questions and transactions.
Sakine graduated cum laude as Master of Laws from the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL) in 2015.
She subsequently graduated magna cum laude from the College of Europe in 2016 where she obtained a LL.M in European law.
Sakine is member of the Brussels’ Bar as of March 2017. She is fluent in French (native) and English (full professional proficiency), and has a basic understanding of Dutch.
On January 18, 2019, Sakine received the “Prix des Bâtonniers Braun et Jakhian”. This price is awarded by the French Brussels’ Bar to the first-year trainee who ranked first when taking the Bar exams.
