Marie-Emilie focuses on individual and collective employment law.

She has assisted clients regarding all kinds of employment, social security and other HR matters. Particular areas of expertise include assistance regarding individual and collective dismissals (including drafting of termination documents, negotiations with trade unions, drafting of a social plan, etc.), employee benefits, implementation of home work, flexible work, false self-employment, prohibited loan of manpower, assistance of companies in different industries with regard to several cross-border and domestic reorganisation and restructuring projects (M&A, transfer of undertaking, etc.) including the employment and social security law aspects of (buy- or sell side) due diligence projects. Furthermore, Marie-Emilie also represents clients before the labour courts.

Additional Info

Marie-Emilie obtained a Master of Law in 2016 at the University of Brussels and an additional Master in Social Law in 2017 at University of Brussels. She was admitted to the Brussels’ Bar in 2017.

Prior to joining EY Law, Marie-Emilie worked with the Employment department of another Big 4 law firm. Marie-Emilie joined EY Law in May 2022 and is a member of the employment law practice at EY Law in Belgium in Ghent.

Marie-Emilie is Dutch speaking with a good professional knowledge of English and French.
