Kelly is experienced in ICT/IP agreements, including outsourcing, SaaS, SLAs, and software licenses, and advises on data protection and GDPR. She understands both service provider and customer perspectives in contract negotiations. Additionally, she works in commercial and consumer law, and assists with corporate transactions like mergers and due diligence.Kelly specialized in the following matters:<ul style="list-style-type:circle;"><li>Drafting, reviewing and negotiating IT contracts</li><li>Advising on (emerging) technologies (e.g. AI, metaverse)</li><li>Advising on ethical hacking</li><li>Advising on intellectual property rights</li><li>Advising on commercial law (e.g. consumer law, B2B law).</li></ul>

Kelly Matthyssens earned her Law degree with honors from the University of Antwerp in 2013 and further honed her expertise in IP and ICT law with an Advanced Master's from KU Leuven, also graduating with honors.

Since joining the Antwerp bar in 2014 and EY Law in 2019 as a managing associate, Kelly has sharpened her IT law expertise. As of 2024, she co-leads EY's Center of Excellence on Emerging Technologies.
