Joost is a lawyer with EY Law as of September 2009. Prior to the start of EY Law in September 2009 he worked as a manager at EY Tax Consultants and prior to that he was a legal/tax consultant for 4 years. Joost has professional experience for more than 15 years in the following:
- Assistance in drafting legal documents and contracts such as (trademark/software) license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, franchising contracts, cash pooling agreements, service/management agreements, outsourcing contracts, distribution agreements, agency agreements, financing agreements, etc;
- Advising companies with regard to their (cross-border) corporate and joint venture structure.
He has also advised a considerable number of leading national and international companies, including joint ventures, in tax company law and commercial law matters and has obtained broad experience in the management and coordination of large (multi)national projects and (cross-border) restructurings.
He has furthermore been involved in various M&A projects and due diligence processes.
Joost’s field of legal expertise includes:
- Commercial law;
- Company law;
- Corporate Tax;
- Cross border private estate planning.
Joost holds a Master in law from the University of Ghent (1997) and a Post Graduate tax Management cum laude from the VLEKHO Hogeshool (currently Hogeschool Universiteit Brussel) (1998). Joost is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
