Jesse focusses on everything related to customs, excise duties and global trade matters.
On a daily basis, Jesse provides assistance to national and international companies to operate more effectively in moving goods around the world. He also represents clients in disputes, both during the administrative procedure as well as during legal proceedings before the courts.
In addition, Jesse has an interest in matters concerning green taxation and sustainability.

Jesse graduated as Master of Laws from the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) in 2015.
Prior to joining EY Law, Jesse worked at an Antwerp law firm for 5 and a half years, doing both tax litigation (civil and criminal proceedings) as well as advisory work, with an intensive focus on customs and excise duties.
From August 2019 to March 2021 he worked as a researcher at the University of Antwerp on a project regarding the reform and modernization of customs law in Belgium and Luxembourg as regards sanctions, penalties and related enforcement measures.
In 2021, he obtained his certificate for the ‘General Module of the Continuing Education – Customs and Excise’ at the University of Antwerp. He is also holder of the certificate ‘Cassation proceedings in criminal matters’.
