Ellen De Bruyckere

Junior Associate

Practice area Ellen is a lawyer of the Private Wealth team at EY Law. She provides tax and legal assistance to high net worth individuals and family offices in national and cross-border situations. Her main focus is on estate planning and all matters related to the tax treatment of one’s assets as well as defending the interests of individuals in disputes regarding the liquidation and distribution of one’s estate. Ellen also advises on tax matters with regard to income taxes.  Her practice areas include patrimonial family law and inheritance law, inheritance and registration tax and income tax.   Additional information Ellen graduated with a Master of Laws from the Catholic University of Leuven (2018 – cum laude). Additionally she obtained a Specialised Master in EU law from the Institute of European Studies at the Free University of Brussels (2019 – cum laude). Currently she is enrolled in the Catholic University of Leuven’s Master in tax law program. She joined EY Law in March 2022. Prior to this she worked two and a half years as a lawyer-trainee at a law firm in Leuven. Ellen was admitted to the Bar of Leuven in 2019 and is currently admitted to the Brussels Bar.

Ellen speaks Dutch (native) and has a professional working proficiency of both French and English.
